Wilson Statement on Terrorist Attacks in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, July 7, 2008 – Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, issued the following statement today after a terrorist bombing killed more than 40 people outside the Indian Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

“This type of violence against innocent civilians is yet another sign of the ruthless enemy that threatens peace and stability not only in Afghanistan but around the world,” said Rep. Wilson. “My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the Afghani and Indian citizens who lost their lives. The United States and its allies in Afghanistan, India, and around the world must stand together to defeat terrorists at home and abroad.”
